In the boundaries of the “Aunis” region of the Charente-Maritime “La Clef des Champs” (The key of the fields) is situated at Charentenay in the commune of St Mard and only a few kilometre from Surgères.
Peace and tranquillity are to be found in this authentic house, converted barn and wash house, all set in a luxurious garden in the natural countryside.
La Chouette Grange
The old barn has been converted into a superb gite that will accommodate six people.
Entry toilette, staircase and cupboard.
Lounge and dining room with settee and armchair, television, dvd player, double doors opening onto a large covered terrace giving access to your own private walled garden with furniture and sun loungers.
Kitchen fully equipped with fridge, separate freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher washing machine, gas hob and electric oven, here you also have access to the covered terrace where you will find an outdoor summer kitchen& BBQ.
Upstairs
Main bedroom with double bed, and washbasin.
Second bedroom with two single beds.
Third bedroom has two bunk beds (standard single size)
The shower room has a large cubicle, washbasin and wc.
Access internet wifi is free via the main house.
We supply all bed linen and towels.
The rental price includes electricity ,water, and the services mentioned
High chair,bath and cot can be supplied free of charge.
In “low season” heating is 80 euros per week extra.
La Bughée
This small independent studio opens onto an English garden with a pergola, terrace, summer kitchen and BBQ.
It contains a lounge with fireplace (wood burner),a double bedroom, shower (wet room) with washbasin & wc. kitchen that has gas hob, electric oven ,washing machine ,and fridge freezer.
This studio is for rent per week or on a B&B basis.

Véronique and Jacky invite you to a warm welcome for your stay that will be truly memorable.
On the first floor of the main house our three guest rooms are spacious and confortable, all are en-suite with television and internet wifi acces.
Coté campagne : 2 people one double.
Coté ocean : 2/3 people one double, one single
Coté montagne Family room sleeps 4., one double, two singles.
Depending on the weather, we will serve you a lavish breakfast either on the garden terrace or in the dining room.
You can relax in the lounge with a traditional fireplace and browse through the library of regional and touristique documentation at your disposal so you can organize your visits to appreciate the local heritage and events.
A summer kitchen that is equipped with fridge, microwave and BBQ is offered to our long stay residents so they have the the possibility to organise their own meals.
The garden is full of shrubs, trees and flowers, a pleasure for all the senses.
